Eligible students can stay and work in Australia for two more years after their studies.
The Australian government released new post-study work extensions for international students. As of July 1, 2023, the limits will go up from:
– two years to four years for eligible bachelor’s degrees
– three years to five years for eligible master’s degrees
– four years to six years for all doctoral degrees
Your students will benefit from this if they graduate from an Australian education provider with an eligible degree in healthcare, teaching, engineering, or one of many other fields.
Students can now work for up to 48 hours biweekly during their study term (previously, the limit was 40 hours).
