Starting 2 Jan 2025, the UK Home Office is increasing the maintenance requirements for student visas:
As per government policy, international students coming to the UK must provide evidence that they have sufficient savings to support themselves “for each month of their course (up to nine months),” according to the Home Office.
- London: £1,483/month
- Outside London: £1,136/month
- Accommodation offsets: up to £1,483. Maximum offset increasing to £1,483 (matching the London maintenance level) • Allows students to show less maintenance funds if accommodation deposit is paid
